The Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC) Program...was founded 10 years ago at the CJ Foundation. A currently unpredictable and unpreventable tragedy, the sudden and unexpected death of a child over 12 months old--which remains unexplained after all known and possible causes of death have been ruled out--is very rare. It occurs in just 1 out of every 100,000 toddlers.

Today, The SUDC Program provides:
  • Bereavement services to families affected by SUDC throughout the U.S. and in 14 countries abroad.
  • A centralized resource for information, support and advocacy and has created the first and only worldwide database for SUDC.
  • The source of critical funding for SUDC research. This important research would not exist today or continue without the dedication of The SUDC Program.
100% of the proceeds from The SUDC Starlight Cruise will go toward our mission of supporting grieving families and funding crucial medical research so that no new families will have to endure the pain of losing a child. For more information about SUDC visit us on the web!
