Chloe's Story

Chloe May was born on St. Patrick’s Day March 17, 2009 and passed on March 15, 2013, just two days before her 4th birthday.

Most mornings when we went in to her room, we would ask if she had good dreams. That last morning she said her dreams were the best ever. She said that all her toys were talking to her and gave her mommy a big hug and kiss. As she grew, Chloe eventually had some imaginary friends. The first imaginary friend was Amy. When asked, “where does Amy live?”, she replied by saying, “Amy swims in the sky.” Later on, friends Lyssa and Jayne showed up. Lyssa was a trouble maker and got blamed for things sometimes. We could hear her talk to them when she was in bed.

Chloe loved being a big sister and helped out a lot. Maggie cried a lot in the car when she was little. Chloe would hold her hand and sing to her. Chloe had a lot of fun at bath time. When Maggie got out of the tub she would swim like a fish. She was afraid she was going to go down the drain with the water and would yell, “get me out!”.

Chloe loved being outside and would find every puddle to jump in. She would play in her sandbox for hours.  She had a lot of fun on vacation playing at the beach and in the pool.  She would ask when we were going back to the beach. A few weeks before she passed we were in the car and mommy was singing along to a song. As the car stopped, Chloe began to sing the chorus, “I will wait, I will wait for you”.  We hope she is waiting for us. Chloe May we miss you every day.
